Mitzvah Circle

Amazing how life changes gears! We are still in the ‘ugly’ but it’s not been ugly at all! Through our church, we began helping out at the homeless ministry, Diamonds In The Rough. They pick up 40+ homeless and bring them to the church where they receive God’s message, breakfast, lunch, dessert, showers, laundry, and a clothes closet, (they can have 5 items each) That is so wonderful, although they were missing a few essentials like socks, shoes, blankets, etc. So I began to wonder how to help DITR help others. While reading a book, God whispered ”Mitzvah Circle”.

The founder is Fran. While traveling back to the ‘ugly’ we had radiator troubles, and Fran keep a check on us, through Twitter, Then sent us agift card for Wal-mart so that we could buy radiator seal and anti-freeze! Then during -it’s still continuing- Jimmy’s court
appearances and jail time, Fran remained in contact! Making sure both he and I were ok, I only have mobile internet, so Fran checked online info for me. Now she continues to do that, and is helping us help the homeless with care packages of stuff! The homeless, like a lady named Virgina cannot believe that someone genuinely cares about them! And from PA ! They cannot wrap their minds around! No questions, No forms, Nothing! The dignity that gives them ! People CARE! They are a human, not a # ! She is AMAZING! And when I grow up, I want to become Fran! She is an inspiration! She is an angel!! We all can learn much from Fran! Words cannot justly describe my gratitude and the ‘I am human’ feelings the homeless now feels be cause of Fran. So A heartfelt “THANK-YOU”.

Thank you for you support! I am a little new to blogging, but not new to the homeless and poverty issues. Fran has been such a blessing not only to myself, but to those who are in need, and so grateful for helping us help others!
